  1. Collect Work: Create a Google Form or Microsoft Form for students to submit their work. Ensure the form collects email addresses automatically, or the first question asks for their email.
  2. Get Data: Ensure the form responses are generated into a Spreadsheet (Google Sheets or Excel).
  3. API Key: Copy/Paste your saved Gemini API Key into the required field. (Get a new one here)
  4. Connect Data: Paste the Google Sheet share link or upload your Excel file into the app.
  5. Mark: Run the Marking Wizard to generate instant feedback!

If the app stops working, check these 5 common issues:

  1. API Key Error: Check you entered your Gemini API key correctly. Ensure there are no extra spaces at the start or end.
  2. Missing Email Column: Your spreadsheet must have a column named exactly "Email Address" (or similar) so the AI knows who the student is.
  3. Overload: Try marking fewer students at once (e.g. 5 instead of 30). You might be asking too much of the AI in one go.
  4. Daily Limit: You may have used all your free daily AI tokens from Google. Try again tomorrow.
  5. Busy Service: Google Gemini might simply be busy. Wait a minute and try again.
